tweet tweet

Today is another little milestone for me: I have been tweeting for 3 years, 3 weeks and 3 days. UNREAL! Surprisingly Twitter has brought me so much more than just a platform to blurt out my 140 character thoughts; it has become my little online creative art community. I can’t even begin to tell you how many friendships have been fostered, how many great ideas have been shared, how many patrons have discovered/purchased my art, how many pen pals I’ve added to my mailing list and how many wonderful opportunities/collaborative initiatives that have arisen from such a simple web application. I am so proud to be a part of this online community. Do you tweet? Wanna know how long you’ve been part of this forum? Click here and type in your username, and if you don’t already follow me on twitter, please DO: my personal profile @jessicagowling or the shop’s profile @naturesmyfriend

paws with claws

I’m so excited to share this lovely little screenprint that I just finished. After several failed attempts with poorly shot screens and old dried up ink, the fourth time was luckily the charm, yielding some beautiful results after printing all afternoon yesterday. This design was created in response to my pair of (dog) paws, as I am also an avid cat lover; the drawing was made in my 2012 arthouse sketchbook, take a peek here. The ink is a lovely soft black and has been printed by hand onto 4’x6′ white magnani paper. Signed and numbered in a limited edition of only 45, this beauty is now available for purchase in my etsy shop here. Cat lovers rejoice!
