nature in 3-D

8 Feb

There’s only a few spreads left to share of my 2012 Art House sketchbook project and I am excited to reveal the rest this week. The image below is from my 2011 sketchbook and is the spread that inspired a recently created piece for “I Remember You.Somehow I still had a bit of this incredibly awesome 3-D scrapbook paper stored away in my paper drawers, and thus a homage was born. I spiffed up a new pair of 3-D glasses with green plaid and woodgrain and made a special pocket for them. I also added two nature-loving stickers that were perfect for the spread: one with a simple quote and one of a cute Canadian animal that is made of felt. The final three pages, the re-bound cover and a video of my sketchbook will all be featured VERY soon! And in other exciting news, my 2012 sketchbook officially arrived at Art House Co-op in New York today! I’m so relieved it will not live the same fate as my sketchbook from 2011. YAY.
