loving homes

1 Nov

Selling art is always a thrill but when it goes to a loving home, I am all the more flattered. In recent months I have had the pleasure of several customers writing to me to tell me how much they love their nature’s my friend pieces, and they have included a photo of my artwork in their homes. To know that I am an everyday part of these beautiful people’s lives is all the more flattering. Last night Miranda Post e-mailed me a heart-warming note and this photo of my natural duality magnets proudly displayed on her eclectic fridge!  She picked them up from Blackstar Studios in beautiful Invermere, BC.My sparrow hawk screenprint flew from my etsy shop to Toni Rica‘s lovely house, where he now nests comfortably among other creative ephemera. A magnet set of a grizzly bear couple got scooped up by bear fanatic Michelle Ashton. Kate Lee found a lovely cherry wood frame & dark grey matt for her favorite gocco print of mine: the  elk and six rad cardinals on arches cream paper. If you own some of my artwork, I’d love to see photos of it displayed in your house!!! These images mean a lot, because as much as art is about self-discovery, it is also about sharing your ideas with the world. To have these four ladies show their appreciation & honor for my artistic creations, and to see them proudly displaying these items in their homes, is something that is very inspiring and special to me.

The elk print looks wonderful in that frame!

How sweet, Jess. Mr. Sparrow Hawk still gives me that look “get your drawing on, lady!” daily. He now hangs on the wall above my reading chair, to the right of my guitar corner :) Much love, Rica.

Great photos! I love seeing art in its environment. Always fun to see how people use it in their homes. I will be sure to send you images of the art you’ve sent me!

Still writing those letters to folks Jessica – tx for the inspiration. Though I try to change up my fridge look often, your magnets are now a staple!
