creative residue

26 Oct

I find used paint palettes, cut paper scraps, binder’s thread in a tangled mess, and other creative residue to be fascinating. There is a certain beauty about it… Perhaps because it represents the time, effort, materials and aftermath of creating something by hand.

I’m SO with you on this (and I’m crazy about that tangled string photo). Obviously I have an fascination with paint palettes already, but I love all kinds of art leftovers. I’ve had the idea to do a paint palette zine for a while now. Maybe we should start a zine together. Obviously Residue would be the name!
