tokens of our affection

2 Sep

As if getting engaged this past month wasn’t a treat enough, John and I just celebrated another anniversary together at the end of August here! Trust me, the gift of true love is the greatest gift of all, but c’mon who doesn’t like bonus presents once and a while? John bought me the most incredible necklace from one of my favorite hand-crafted Canadian jewelery companies which is run out of Victoria. It is a duo named Moon Raven Design, and trust me, if you are an animal lover, you will be drooling at their their work. Johnny picked from my 3 favorite necklaces and chose this incredible wildcat skull pendant with a movable articulate jaw. OH MY GOD. lovelovelove!!! John didn’t do so bad either. As a proud hoser and serious beer-lover, I bought him this book about the intemperate history of beer in Canada called “CHEERS! Beer In Canada” which had the most amazing cover illustration (seeing double of a Mountie)! He also got a wee love letter and two 6-packs of fancy expensive beer that he loves but refuses to buy for himself because of the price. So it was a serious Win/Win for the two of us. Finally, I wanted to share my wrap job cause I was SO proud of it, considering all I had on hand was old crinkled up packing paper. Somehow it came together by using a lovely red washi tape as “ribbon” and topping it with a small envelope stamped with a red kiss.
