everything is coming together

19 May

I am so excited, it seems like everything is snowballing… I’ve really got to start sprinting if I want to keep up with myself! I have been working hard to get some more art opportunities going now that spring is in swing, and one of the things I’ve been interested in doing is the farmer’s market here in the South Cariboo, and possibly in other parts of BC if I end up doing some road-trippin’. For these ventures though I required a few more supplies. I was lucky to find a collapsable, folding  2.5′ x 6′ table with a carrying handle online and it was 25% off plus free shipping! SOLD.It arrived last week, I set it up and just never took it down. The table has currently taken over part of our living room as an extension of my studio for some extra projects I’m working on but eventually is for use at farmer’s markets and craft fairs for the display of all of my nature’s my friend wares. Today the canopy I won on e-bay was delivered free via UPS and I am oh so excited because I got it $20 dollars less than the buy it now price! Not to mention the fact that a commission check from one of my lovely brick and mortar shops Blackstar Studios and Gallery showed up yesterday and helped to more than cover the cost, so that was exciting; the profits of sold artwork can pay for another art opportunity to create more sales! That’s what I call re-investing into the business. The canopy is 10′ x 10′ x an adjustable height of  5′-8′. It pops up, so there isn’t any need for tools or a laborious set-up, it only takes 5 minutes. It even has side walls with windows if I really want to get fancy. And as you can see by the lovely picture of it in my backyard… it’s GREEN!!! A wonderful nature-friendly color that will catch people’s eyes. I’m thrilled.

Hey Jessica! I’m so happy to see all your progress getting set up for more business. So cool that you’ll be reaching out to more people and getting them to know “nature’s my friend”. I’m sure they’re going to be so inspired by you! Good luck!

Also, as Jeannine noted, your view is gorgeous! I was trying to imagine it covered in snow in the winter ~ must be amazing there year round.
