When bird watching, nature walks and hugs with furry animals collided with paper tearing, texture doodling, graphite smudges and ink mixing, I knew I’d found my happy place.
After completing a BFA in Print Media from the Alberta College of Art & Design (and dabling in other fun creative ventures like book arts, photography, illustration, mail art, zines, jewelry, textiles and poi), I moved to the mountains of British Columbia to pursue my dream of becoming a practicing visual artist; nature’s my friend was born.
Happily nestled in a sun-filled art studio amongst the beautiful Kootenay Mountains next to the Columbia River, the inspiration behind all of my creative endeavors is literally at my fingertips each and every day. I get to wake up in paradise, enjoy it, make art about it, photograph it and then blog about it all.
When you don’t have time to get out and walk in the woods or pick up a pencil to draw, my blog ensures that art, nature and craft can still be a part of your everyday life; it is my goal to share my exciting, creative and inspiring adventures with you as much as possible.
Commission, interview and collaboration requests are always welcome. Please contact me via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to discuss your ideas.
“Keep your love of nature, for that is the true way to understand art better.” -Vincent Van Gogh
